Tenson, designers of high-performance functional ski/sailing outdoor clothing for the active outdoor person has now opened the doors of its first boutique at Freeport, Kungsbacka. The opening of the store, on the 25th September, is a part of the Tenson offensive investment strategy to strengthen the brand name on the Swedish market.
‘We’ve been around since the 50s so we thought it was about time we opened our own exclusive boutique. This means we are able to show our wide range of outdoor and skiwear under the same roof making it an ideal opportunity to display to our customers that we are at the forefront when it comes to high-performance functional clothing for the active outdoor person,’ says Johan Lövqvist, Tenson’s managing director.
Even since the company’s foundation in 1951, Tenson has enjoyed a successful European export market. Besides Sweden, Holland, Denmark and Belgium are the largest and most important Tenson markets. It was more of a strategic move that the first boutique should open at Freeport Kungsbacka.
’At Freeport Kungsbacka we are both near to our head office in Gothenburg and to Varberg, where Paul Rydholm first founded the company. Besides, Freeport is a very attractive area with a large customer flow. We will now focus on opening further Tenson boutiques both in Sweden and abroad. Our aim is to be visible the right environment; Tenson boutiques will be found where the active outdoor person is to be found,’ says Johan Lövqvist.
